I don’t think anyone in the Kanto region is entirely sure whether the rainy season is actually over. Just when we think it has ended, the weather forecast tells us it hasn’t. Then, when everyone starts saying, “It’s definitely not over yet, right?” the Japan Meteorological Agency suddenly announces that it had already ended after all. Honestly, nothing is quite as unreliable as Japan’s weather forecasts—except perhaps the rainy season itself.
Anyway, work has been insanely busy. For about three weeks, I haven’t had the mental space to look for shooting locations or even think properly about photography, and I’ve finally reached my limit.
Fortunately, from tomorrow—which will actually be today, Saturday, by the time you read this—I have a three-day weekend, so I’ll be off until Monday. I want to forget about work completely and immerse myself in photography.
And yes, I also need to keep moving forward with preparations for my solo exhibition. This time, I’m planning to sell a limited number of photo books, so there is plenty of preparation to do for that as well.
I had hoped to use the same venue as last time, but unfortunately, it is unavailable due to circumstances involving the building, so the exhibition will be held at a new location. Naturally, that means I’ll have to map out the space and plan where everything will be installed. I am absolutely terrible at this kind of work, so all I can really do is take my time and work through it carefully.
During this three-day weekend, I want to go out and take photos while also making progress on the exhibition preparations. I’m determined to make the most of my time.
I’m going to do my best!

Thank you!
Have a nice weekend!
