Back to life, yes. Back to reality — but it wasn’t a dream!
As I mentioned, I went to Kyoto for the open call exhibition “Echo 2026.” My works were displayed right at the entrance of the exhibition hall. Some people joked that I must have paid for that spot — of course I know they were kidding! LOL
I feel so humbled, honored, and grateful. Almost everyone stopped by my works, and most of them took shots with their smartphones. That made me really happy, and honestly, proud.
To be honest, I was a bit worried about showing my works this time. So many thoughts kept running through my head. Yeah, kinda anxious? LOL
But I’m glad people liked them — not just the photography, but also the words I wrote as captions for each piece. It’s a little funny to me, because I never really paid much attention to my writing. But back at “Ghost,” and again this time, people told me I’m good at writing. Some even said, “You should write poetry!” or “You should write stories.” Haha, thanks, but I don’t know about that.
I was often told, “The phrases, each word you picked for the captions — they’re really soft, gentle, and very touching.”
I do like writing, no resistance there, but I don’t think I’m actually good at it. I just write what I felt and what I thought about my works.
Anyway, thank you for all the compliments — they really motivate me to write more captions for my next exhibition and photobook.
And one more thing that surprised me: I was wearing a T-shirt printed with one of my works, and people asked me where I bought it. When I told them I made it myself with my own photo, some said they wanted one too. LOL! Thanks!
So I decided to make a few more to give to some of the people I met at the exhibition. Like I did before, I’ll make a few different designs and give them as a bonus to people who buy my photobook at the next exhibition. Good idea, huh? LOL
The party is over. Not much time to enjoy the afterglow — I have to start preparing for my next exhibition in October. It’s a big one!

Thank you so much!!
Have a nice weekend!!
