Oooh, I love this season.
I love how the cold air, the clouds, and the blue sky slowly turn into orange, then purple, and finally deep blue.
Leaves turn brown. The wind passes through, as if scooping the leaves from the trees.
The air is dry, the sunlight is soft, and I can feel its warmth on my face even when the sun is about to sink.
What a wonderful season — autumn is here, and winter is coming.
I always listen to music while I’m shooting, but when I visit the wetland, there are no sounds except the wind and the birds.
And in that silence, I feel — I hear — my own breathing.
Even when my feet get tired and the ground is getting cold, and I know I should run to the station, I just stop.
I just feel.
I try to feel everything I can.
Such a wonderful moment.
Sometimes, I take off my shoes and socks and walk just to feel the ground.
It’s such a small thing, but it makes a huge difference.
We’re always wearing shoes outside.
Maybe the beach in summer is the only time we walk barefoot.
But when I step on the ground with bare feet, suddenly time starts moving differently.
It’s amazing.
And I love it.
And somewhere very deep inside me, a voice whispers:
“I am okay.”
