I work as a system manager during the week. Every weekend, I go out shooting photos, trying to visualize my thoughts, feelings, and moods. Sometimes I spend weeks or even months creating a series based on a specific concept. When that happens, I really need to focus on it, and I don’t want to spend too much of my energy on my regular job.

Well, in general, I don’t have to spend too much energy on my work. I’ve been doing this for over 15 years, so I can handle most things without much trouble. But the end of March and the beginning of April are like hell. LOL!!

I’m not going to go into the details, but I just want to say that it’s pretty hard to keep a balance. Not only mentally, but physically as well.

Last night—actually, every Friday night after work—I usually go to the gym and work out for about an hour and a half. And I love that time.

Usually Friday nights at the gym aren’t very busy. There are fewer people, so I can focus on what I want to do. But yesterday, on my way home from work on the subway, I was completely exhausted. I felt totally drained. My eyes were so dry that even blinking made them feel sore.

Usually I tell myself something to push myself to go anyway. But last night, I couldn’t.

When I got home, my gym clothes and everything were already prepared from the morning. But I just sat down in my chair, took a deep sigh, and thought, “No… I can’t.”

My fridge was empty, but I wasn’t in the mood to go out and buy anything.

So I decided to stay home and relax. I ordered pizza and Coke, watched a movie, took a shower, tried not to think about anything, and then went to bed.

My life is usually always scheduled, always booked. But sometimes I need a night—or a day—with no plans at all. Or just to cancel everything and relax.

So that’s what last night was like.

Today, I was supposed to go out for shooting photos, but I missed the time to wake up. I guess I needed a long sleep, so I decided to cancel that plan too.

And so… where should I go today? LOL
